  13. A Resource About National Kidney Month

  18.      The month of March has been declared National Kidney Month and this year
  19. the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) wants us all to understand the important
  20. roles the kidney plays in our health.  The basic function of these two
  21. precious organs is to filter blood to remove waste products, and regulate
  22. blood pressure.  But of course there is much more to the story of our kidneys,
  23. one which most certainly is of interest to everyone.  Part of that story is
  24. told in a new booklet entitled "Your Kidneys, Master Chemist of the Body"
  25. obtainable from your local NKF Affiliate (check your community directory for
  26. an address) or by requesting it directly from the National Kidney Foundation,
  27. 2 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10016. (Please enclose a stamped, self addressed
  28. envelope.)  And here's another tip.  The NKF has 38 brochures covering all
  29. aspects of kidney disease, kidney failure, urinary tract infections, organ
  30. transplants and many others.  Single copies of any of these booklets are also
  31. available, free of charge, so request their publication list as well, so that
  32. you can appreciate the scope and work of this fine organization.  The
  33. information contained in these booklets is of unsurpassed quality, and is well
  34. worth your efforts to obtain them.  Tell them Dr. Bruckheim sent you, it may
  35. hasten the processing of your request.
